Samba Brazilian Churrascaria

Went for a late dinner with BE and Ron @ Samba Brazillian Churrascaria in Katong Village... It is $32 per pax with 15% and 20% discount for UOB and HSBC credit card respectively. Coincidentally, ah gu and friends were having dinner thr as well.. Long time never meet him liao, still look like a kind buddha =P

Anyway, have been having craving for this for a long time ever since Ms Tan treated @ Windows near Club Street as i simply love the roasted pineapple even though i am not a fan of this fruit. It really can make your meaty meal more appetising. The roasted pineapple served here, outer layer being roasted till caramelised, is nicer than the first time i had @ Sixth avenue but the salad bar in comparison is worse off. Looking at the pic (bottom right of this collage), guess whats on my dish?????

First guess - Brinjal.... WRONG
Second guess - Sweet potato........... WRONG
Third guess - B.A.N.A.N.A........

It took us three tries before we got the answer right haha coz this banana comes with skin. Had a nice dinner as we chatted and cracked stupid jokes. We were talking about the Korean star Rain and his muscular six packs. Then Ron happily said that he is Heavy Rain and we were dumbfounded... then realised that he meant he has one big pack. =)

I dont really have much impression of the one at sixth avenue as i went there last year. Anyway here's the plus and minus for the three Brazilian restaurants....

Sixth avenue
+ nicer salad bar
+ more meat varieties (dont rem the taste)
+ more authentic Brazilian feel
- very crowded

Samba
+ juicy pineapple
+ yummy pork sausages
- pork ribs are dry and have a smelly "oil" taste
- bland chicken wings

Windows @ Club Street
+ tasty chicken thighs
- slow service (maybe bcoz i went during lunch?)

Another place to try will be Carnivore @ Chjimes or Vivo.....
